I’m plum ready for Fall!

If you’re ready to completely dive into Fall-Everything this post is for you! As soon as the weather slightly teases me with cooler temperatures, I start swapping out my bright summer makeup for my warm, jewel fall tones.

As a fair skinned, natural redhead with light blue eyes, I’ve always worn these colors better, but it may not be that way for you, so I want to share all the things that I use to bring in that pumpkin spice feeling!

Plum Eyeliner

The first color that I have found to be universally flattering for any eye color is plum. Plum is a rich, dark purple. It’s not bright or violet. It’s warm and subtle. Pixi by Petra from Target makes a beautiful shade of purple called Deep Plum in a silky, smooth waterproof eyeliner.

I know you’ll be hooked on this color once you try it! Pixi also has other colors in this line as well; Black Noir, Gunmetal, Black Cocoa, Black Blue, Sage Gold, Very Berry, Copper Glow, and Brightening Lilac.

I receive a monthly beauty subscription box from Birchbox and this is where I discovered my new favorite lip color for Fall and it’s a clean beauty product. Arrow Boost is a color enhancing lip balm by Birchbox that reacts with your own pH levels in your skin to create the perfect shade for YOU. The balm is tinted darkly, but does not apply like regular lipstick. The Berry balm glides on and then begins reacting immediately to give your lips a berry beautiful pop of color.

Contour, Highlight, Blush, AND Eyeshadow in ONE Palette!

Fair skin can be so frustrating to contour, but this palette contains beautiful warm shades in pressed powder that are idea for blending. I received this in a H2BAR monthly subscription box and I use it daily and seasonally. I use the darker brown shades to contour, the lighter brown and cream shades to highlight, the light pink as a soft blush, and I love blending the darker pink as eyeshadow in the outer corner above the crease of my eyes. The jewel tones in this palette make it perfect for Fall, and it’s only $15!

Matte Neutral Eyeshadow Palette

How to be a Redhead did it again! This company knows how to pick fair-skinned and redhead friendly color palettes. This particular matte palette by Coastal Scents is full of beautiful, warm neutrals in creams, pinks, purples, and browns. I use the darker shades for eyeliner and to create the perfect smokey eye while the lightest shades are perfect for highlighting the inner corner of your eyes. I even the use the light yellow shadow as color-corrector to mask the blue veins on my eyelids. Each color is matte pressed powder and very easy to blend, even for a beginner. The blush shades look GOR-GEOUS with the Pixi deep plum eyeliner.

If you’re looking for palettes with a mix of matte and shimmer, Coastal Scents also makes the original Revealed, Reavealed 2, and Revealed Smokey Ey. All available on Amazon.

Glow and Blush

I have long been a fan of Laura Geller’s Baked Blush-n-Brighten makeup. Each compact is a swirl of color and luminosity! I use the color Grapefruit during the summer months as a strong pink blush, but I dust it over my cheeks lightly during the fall to add a soft blush glow. It can be worn alone or as a highlighter.

Burgundy Mascara - Yes! It’s a thing!

Some people paint the town red, but I like to paint my lashes burgundy! Yes, black is classic and brown is soft, but this deep burgundy is SO fun and SO flattering! Remember how I said I liked those jewel tones during the fall? Well, L’Oreal makes several jewel toned mascaras just for that! My personal favorite with my blue eyes is the Deep Burgundy, but Cobalt Blue and Deep Green are also gorgeous! This color really brings my berry lips, plum eyeliner, warm eyeshadow, and contoured cheeks together in a whimsical and romantic look.
